DIY: Creating a Photo Wall

I love photos. And I love them in groups even more. I have been eyeing photo walls on Pinterest for what seems like foreverrrr. (Check out my Pinterest Board by clicking HERE).

I decided to finally go for it. I used photos from my travels over the years. All the photos are either ones I took myself or vintage postcards I bought as souvenirs. They highlight some of my favorite places around the world. Check out all the details, a video (my first one so please be understanding!) and shopping guide so you can make your own! Enjoy!

A little disclaimer. I did not measure any part of this project. As you can see in the video, I traced the frame edges slightly as a guide for the nails. I do not advise you "free hand" a project like this.

A great way and simple way to fool-proof this project is to outline/trace your frames on paper. Add markings to the paper cutouts for the spots where the nails need to go. Cut the frame shapes out and use them as guides. Use painters tape to "hang" them on the wall to make sure your layout fits and is straight. Once you have all the paper cutouts exactly where you want them, you can nail easily and without worry.

Another fool proof method is to use removable adhesive (CLICK HERE) or velcro strips (CLICK HERE) These are great for hanging light frames and are very forgiving if you need to re-position them. They are also great for renters since they don't damage your walls.
